Featuring: Style That Saves Project
OUR STORY
Rescue Runway began in 2024 as my personal platform through the Virginia Tech Homecoming Court, where I was honored to be crowned Homecoming Royalty. What started as a passion project quickly grew into a movement dedicated to helping shelter pets get seen, loved, and adopted.
Through Rescue Runway, I’ve combined my love for fashion, community, and animal welfare — using creativity as a bridge between people and pets in need of homes. Our mission is simple: to turn compassion into action and design into impact.
WHAT WE DO
Rescue Runway uses fashion and community engagement to bring visibility to adoptable animals. We design and create custom “Adopt Me” vests and bandanas that help shelter pets stand out, both in person and online.
By hosting student-led workshops, community events, and adoption fashion shows, we give shelter pets the chance to shine — showing the world their personalities, charm, and spirit.
So far, Rescue Runway has:
Partnered with 5+ shelters and rescues
Engaged over 300 students and volunteers
Created 300+ handmade “Adopt Me” vests and bandanas
Raised over $1,000 to support shelter programs
Helped 50+ dogs and cats find their forever homes in our first year
Each vest, each event, and each collaboration tells a story — a story of hope, visibility, and second chances.
